Semi-Custom Web Site Development Process

This process has been designed to be used along with our Semi-Custom Web Site technologies in order to provide a very cost effective solution that gives you an enormous bang for your buck. 

1. Identify what you want from your web site and the steps to obtain those goals.
2. Get your domain name selected and start the registration process (don't want anyone else taking your domain name).  We will put a business card site out as a place holder and create your email accounts.
3. Exchange information 
• You send us your existing marketing material (so your web site will give you a consistent look-and-feel)
• Industry Web Host will provide you a package of what specifically to consider for your site, ideas/recommendations, discussion points and background information.  This packet is much more focused than a custom web site option, and is especially focused for our target industry clients.
• Industry Web Host will provide the agenda for our Strategy & Planning Meeting (heavily based on our initial contact discussion)
  
4. Strategy & Planning Meeting - leveraging the information we exchanged (including our suggestions, recommendations and options), up-front thought and planning will achieve your goals as quickly and economically as possible (thinking is a good thing to ensure actions are focused in the right direction).  Take away actions:
• you should begin working on the text or content of your site - what you want the site to say
• Industry Web Host will select and tweak style and functionality options to discuss at our site design meeting.
• Industry Web Host will provide the agenda for our Web Site Design Meeting (again, the agenda is heavily based on our meeting).
• Other take away actions may result from the meeting.
  
5. Web Site Design Meeting - discuss the specifics of the design of your site.  This is done separately from our Strategy & Planning meeting so Industry Web Host can refine the options into a much more managable number that are targetted to meet your needs.   Take away actions:
• you should continue working on the site content.  Please note, that with Industry Web Host solutions, you do not need to have all your content finished before making your web site available to the world.
• Industry Web Host will begin develop the look-and-feel and functionality of your site
• Other take away actions may result from the meeting.
6. Web Site Refinement Meeting - refining the look-and-feel and functionality of your web site and plan to go-live.
