Here's the typical custom web site development process, but the process we follow for your web site will depend on your goals.  Let's use the process to increase our productivity but not get in our way. 

1. Identify what you want from your web site and the steps to obtain those goals.
2. Get your domain name selected and start the registration process (don't want anyone else taking your domain name).  We will put a business card site out as a place holder and create your email accounts.
3. Exchange information 
• You send us your existing marketing material (so your web site will give you a consistent look-and-feel)
• Industry Web Host will provide you a package of what specifically to consider for your site, ideas/recommendations, discussion points and background information.
• Industry Web Host will provide the agenda for our Strategy & Planning Meeting (heavily based on our initial contact discussion)
  
4. Strategy & Planning Meeting - leveraging the information we exchanged, up-front thought and planning will achieve your goals as quickly and economically as possible (thinking is a good thing to ensure actions are focused in the right direction).  One of the meeting goals is to define possible phases for you to realize benefit from your new web site as quickly as possible.  Another meeting goal is on the long term maintenance of the site.  Take away actions:
• you should begin working on the text or content of your site - what you want the site to say
• Industry Web Host prototypes your site's look-and-feel and functionality (including various options) - a sketch of your site to speed our design discussions
• Industry Web Host will provide the agenda for our Web Site Design Meeting (again, the agenda is heavily based on our meeting).
• Other take away actions may result from the meeting.
  
5. Web Site Design Meeting - discuss the specifics of the design of your site.  This is done separately from our Strategy & Planning meeting so we can focus the meeting on your specific needs.   Take away actions:
• you should continue working on the site content.  Please note, that with Industry Web Host solutions, you do not need to have all your content finished before making your web site available to the world.
• Industry Web Host will begin develop the look-and-feel and functionality of your site (the results will depend on whether we will be developing the site in phases)
• note:  discussion on your web site is not limited to these defined meetings.  The defined meetings are set to quickly cover a lot of ground as efficiently as possible.  Informal communication will occur to ask/answer questions, provide additional information, get opinions, etc.
• Other take away actions may result from the meeting.
6. Web Site Refinement Meetings - refining aspects of the look-and-feel and functionality of your web site.  The agenda and the number of these meetings depend heavily on the goals of your site and our execution plan.

Industry Web Host will partner with you to determine the best course of action to give you the biggest bang for your dollar.  The above process is to provide you with an idea of how we develop web sites and look for ways to make your site available to the world as quickly and inexpensively as possible.  For example, Industry Web Host may recommend releasing a portion of your site first in order to begin realizing benefits ASAP.  Another example is Industry Web Host may note that moving forward with 90% of the functionality could be done at half the cost (of course, you are running the show and can decide which is right for you).  Alternatively, Industry Web Host may note that we can deliver 150% of the functionality for the same cost.
